I was inspired to write my essay about my humbling experiences for 2009. On January, my birthday month, Mother suggested that we hold it in an orphanage. And so I did. I and mom made sweet spaghetti and chicken sandwich. I also ordered chocolate ice cream for everyone. That day was so blissfull, all because the children's laughter was so innocent and purifying. I was reminded that I should be grateful for even the littlest of blessings that I receive.
On February, the love month, I asked my boyfriend to instead of give me flowers on Valentine's day, to just come with me and vollunteer as a teacher to out-of-school youth.
On March, I went with my brother, who is now a doctor to a far-flung area in Mexico and became part of a medical mission. I tried my hand in nursing, and I enjoyed it. I might consider that profession now that I am thinking of shifting in a course.
In June, I was my sister's maid of honor. I was so tired for a whole day of assisting but I enjoyed the affair since my sister seemed to be really happy.
Last September, I went to my former friend's house and asked for forgiveness. We have been in conflict for two years and I thought it should be me who should reach out.
On December, I donated some clothes, all toys, and other stuffs to typhoon victims in Asia thru Red Cross.
It feels good to share; I hope to do this on a regular basis.
